I grew up in California with a love of everything outdoors and anything athletic. My school background is in Art/Photography/& Design. However, along the way, the Service Industry played a large part in my life; insert "starving artist". Eventually, after building two successful businesses in Santa Cruz and when the time was ripe, I sold them, packed up and moved to Kauai. Yes, I said Santa Cruz, another awesome paradise by the sea. However, the theory was ,work this hard there OR do the same thing in a WARM water paradise!  

   Thus, Yenzen Designs was conceived and I have been building, designing and remodeling homes and vacation rentals here on Kauai ever since.

   In my spare time, if there is such a thing, I enjoy exploring the Island and Ocean with my boys or maybe just a family picnic at our local beach for sunset. I should probably mention golfing as well.

  Over the years I've built lasting relationships with my clients that I deeply cherish. These relationships were founded by a mutual trust and I like to think by my tireless work ethic. Also , I actually pick up the phone or get back to people immediately when they call. I love our laid back Island style but I also respect what I believe is very important to most people in business transactions and that is prompt


  A Real Estate transaction is a business transaction but it is also one of 

the heart. In many cases it's the biggest decision of one's life , whether

selling or buying. It can be an emotional time in which many things

need to be considered and as much information gathered as possible.

  Local knowledge is important and you will appreciate my honest and

candid take on things. I won't lead you down some path just to make a sale.

 Also as a Contractor and a Certified Home Inspector  I understand how 

homes are put together. I'm knowledgeable in building codes and

the restrictions and covenants that come with many properties here.  Also,

having owned and operated my own vacation rentals and having worked

on countless others I'm very in touch with that part of the market.
